Samsung Galaxy S26 Series in Nepal: The 7-Year Upgrade We’ve Been Waiting For (S26, S26+ & Ultra)

By Prem Sagar Pokharel

The rumor mill is spinning faster than ever, and if the latest leaks are accurate, Samsung is preparing for its biggest overhaul in seven years. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series—comprising the standard S26, the larger S26 Plus, and the beastly S26 Ultra—is set to redefine the flagship experience in Nepal.

While we have already covered the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, the S26 lineup is a different animal entirely. From “Flex Magic Pixel” privacy screens to a potential design shift that mimics the iPhone 17, here is the full breakdown of every model coming to Nepal in early 2026.

Release Date: When Will It Arrive in Nepal?

While global reports are conflicting—some saying late January and others pinning a confirmed date of February 25, 2026—the timeline for Nepal remains consistent with previous years.

  • Global Unpacked Event: Late Jan / Feb 2026 (Rumored)

  • Nepal Launch Date: Mid-February to Early March 2026

If you are planning to upgrade, keep your wallet ready for mid-February.

1. Samsung Galaxy S26 & S26 Plus: Slimmer, Sharper, Faster

While the Ultra gets all the headlines, the standard S26 and S26+ are seeing the most radical design changes this year.

Design & Build: The “Plateau” Shift

Samsung is focusing on extreme thinness this year.

  • Galaxy S26: A razor-thin 6.9mm.

  • Galaxy S26+: Slightly thicker at 7.3mm.

  • The Look: Both phones will feature rounded corners and a new camera bump design. Rumors suggest the S26+ might adopt a “Camera Plateau” design similar to the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, ditching the individual lens rings for a unified island.

  • Colors: Orange, Silver, and Black are standard. Exclusive rumored colors include Lavender and Light Purple.

Display: 10-Bit Color Revolution

Finally moving past 8-bit panels, the entire lineup gets 10-bit displays. This means smoother gradients and over 1 billion colors.

  • S26: ~6.2-inch QHD+ 120Hz

  • S26+: ~6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz

  • Flex Magic Pixel: Both models are expected to feature the new AI privacy layer that prevents people from reading your screen from the side.

Performance

  • Processor: Most regions will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, there are lingering rumors that the base S26 model might carry a new Exynos 2600 chipset in some markets (including Nepal/India), so keep an eye out for final confirmations.

2. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: The Titanium King

The Ultra remains the top-tier choice for power users, retaining the Titanium frame but refining the ergonomics.

  • Display: A massive 6.9-inch QHD+ screen with 3000 nits peak brightness and the new Corning Gorilla Glass RMR 3.

  • Camera: The 200MP main sensor gets a focal length adjustment to 24mm, and the 5x Telephoto moves to 120mm for better portrait compression.

  • Battery: Likely 5000mAh with improved efficiency, supporting 60W Wired Charging and 25W Wireless Charging.

3. The “Glue” Features: AI & Software

All three phones will run on OneUI 8.5 (Android 16), bringing major AI upgrades:

  1. Bixby Reborn: Bixby is expected to integrate ChatGPT and Perplexity to handle complex queries and deep system tasks.

  2. Gaze Detection: The phone can blur content if an unauthorized face looks at your screen.

  3. Auto-Redact: Sharing a photo of your citizenship card? The AI will automatically blur sensitive details like the ID number before you hit send.
