By Prem Sagar Pokharel
As we enter the new Fiscal Year 2082/083 (2025-2026), the Government of Nepal has updated the tax structures for private vehicles. For vehicle owners in Bagmati Province and across the country, knowing the exact amount for your Bluebook renewal is crucial to avoid heavy fines.
Whether you ride a 150cc bike or drive a family SUV, this guide breaks down the exact yearly tax, renewal charges, and mandatory insurance premiums you need to pay.
Note: The rates below are primarily based on Bagmati Province. While most provinces (Gandaki, Lumbini, Koshi, etc.) follow a similar structure, rates may vary by 2% to 10% depending on local provincial laws.
If you own an electric vehicle, the rates are different. Please check our detailed guide on EV Tax in Nepal 2082/83: New Bluebook Renewal & Insurance Rates.
